Project 1794

According to US Air Force sources, they wanted to build a flying spacecraft during the Cold War. They called it "Project 1794." It was built to be extremely maneuverable and versatile with the ability to fly at Mach 3. The National Archives declassified a summary of the program's final version, which was made publicly available online. Avro Aviation Ltd. from Canada was responsible to catalogue and analyze the documents. The height of a flying saucer was estimated to be 100,000 feet.

Nuclear launch codes

The Cold War used the nuclear launch code. These codes can be used to reduce the launch time and deter nuclear attacks. Strategic Air Command (SAC), officers selected the secret codes to nuclear weapons. The codes were part of a national safety action memo (NSM) that President John F. Kennedy created in 1962. All nuclear weapons had to be equipped by the Permissive Action Link or PAL encryption system. These codes prevent the misuse of nuclear weapons, and unauthorized access could compromise the weapons.

In the Secrets of the World, the exact location of Medina in the Islamic faith is revealed. Muslims hold Medina as sacred. The Quran said that this area revealed the direction of Qibla. This revelation changed direction of Qibla's direction from Bait-al-Muqadas (Jerusalem) to the Ka'bah (Makkah). This was bad news to Jews, but good news for Muslims. The direction of Qibla changed from Jerusalem to Makkah when the Prophet Muhammad did so. This shift was one of Islam's most significant since Jesus.

FAQ

Is there a Hollywood blacklist.

There is a Hollywood blacklist.

The list isn’t available for public viewing. As far as we are aware, the names are not even known. Here's why this matters.

The reason for the secrecy is that the blacklisted actors and directors wouldn't be able to find jobs. Thus, they would leave the industry and studios will lose money. Which means they'd cut back on spending money on movies. This would lead to fewer opportunities and less money for blacklisted directors. Which would lead them to go bankrupt.

This could lead to more victims.

In other words, if someone is trying to make an Oscar winning movie, they might have to sign a contract that says they won't speak openly against their employers. For any producer or director that wants to be nominated, the same applies.

This is why you'll hear about directors being pressured by producers to take scenes out of their films. Directors may threaten to quit projects that don’t align with their vision.

This is why Hollywood has a blacklist. If you speak negatively about your employer, you will likely be fired. And that's not good for anyone.

Problem is, many people have been falsely charged. These people have had to fight to clear their names.

This kind of thing must stop before it can happen again. It is essential that everyone has the freedom to express their opinions.

We need to get rid of Hollywood's blacklist.

Did you know that there are approximately 1.6 billion metric tons of trash produced every day in the world?

According to the United Nations the average person creates more than 2.5 lbs of waste daily. That adds up over 25 billion kilos of garbage every year.

Most of the trash ends up at incinerators and landfills. But, what happens to those dumpsters? The majority of this rubbish is sent out of the country. It is then dumped in other countries, where it pollutes their ecosystems. But now, thanks to the work of one man, we know exactly where all this trash goes. Mike Sexton is his real name. He is the founder of Waste Watchers. He watches over trucks that transport trash across North America. He then gives us a report on what happens next.

Sexton said he enjoys his job. CNN spoke with Sexton that they have a lot fun. "We see big rigs coming through town and we'll follow them. "Sexton started following truck drivers nearly 20 years ago.

He stated that he fell in love with the product.

His favorite story involved a driver who pulled off at an abandoned gas station near Los Angeles. "The guy was looking for someplace to put his load," Sexton recalled. "He drove down the street and saw this building. So he pulled over and went inside. "There were two enormous roll-off containers filled with stuff. The man got everything out of the truck and began filling it up again. "Then he took out everything and began to fill up the truck. There were old tires and rags, furniture pieces, mattresses, mattresses and boxes. "It was just an absolute mess. It had been cleaned up before he arrived. There wasn't any trash."

This begs the question: Why? This particular spot used to be a recycling center. People would drive there to recycle their trash. Sexton explained, "They would bring their household goods and take them here," and they would then empty the containers.

This could happen hundreds of time per week. The truck can be stopped running if it is so full of junk that it has to come back hundreds of times per week. The truck eventually stops running and the owner decides that it is time to get rid of the vehicle.

However, trash is not the only problem on our planet.

These tiny plastic particles make up the majority of the particles. Some end up in incinerators or landfills. Some end up in rivers and oceans, while others end up in fish's stomachs.

Experts warn of a possible global food crisis if nothing is done. One expert said, "If we keep going as we are going, we're never going to make it," but most people don’t seem concerned.

What is the most fascinating fact about the human body

There are two eyes, two ears. Two nostrils. Four limbs. A mouth, nose and penis. We have over 50 parts of our bodies. However, one thing is missing. A heart.

A heart is a pump, which circulates blood throughout our bodies. Blood travels through the arteries and veins, carrying oxygen and nutrients to the cells and removing carbon dioxide and waste products.

The heart pumps out approximately 5 liters of blood per minute. This is equivalent to a person drinking 2-3 cups coffee daily.

The heart pumps blood 24 hours a days, 365 days per year. While you sleep, your heart beats almost 100 times per minute.

The color of someone's skin can tell if they are healthy or not. The capillaries are tiny blood vessels that can be seen on the skin's surface. These tiny vessels transport blood from the larger blood vessels to the heart. The skin becomes blue-colored or purple when blood flow is restricted.

People suffering from sickle cell disease have no red blood cells. Patients with sickle cell disease have their blood become sticky and harden, leading to severe illness.

Bandages are used to stop bleeding after you have cut yourself. Blood must continue to flow to allow the wounds to heal properly. To do this, doctors will insert a needle through your skin into the vein adjacent to the injury. This allows the blood to drain from the injured area.

Doctors also insert tubes (catheters) into the artery near the site where the blood clot forms. This keeps the patient alive till the blood clot dissolves naturally.

How does your brain control your body's functions?

To ensure that they work together, messages are sent by the brain to other organs. Everything in your body is controlled and managed by your brain. It tells your stomach how to digest food and your lungs how to inhale oxygen; it also tells your arms, legs and feet to move.

Your brain consists of billions of nerve cells connected in groups called neurons. Action potentials are electrical signals that neurons send to one another. Every neuron has an outer cell membrane that surrounds its nucleus. The membrane contains channels that allow ions like sodium and potassium to enter the cell and leave it. Ion movement is what causes the neurons to fire.

When a neuron is activated, neurotransmitters release chemicals into the space between it and the next neuron. Neurotransmitters bind to receptors on the second neuron, opening ion channels so ions can pass in and out of the channel. In turn, the second neuron also fires.

When another neuron sends an impulse to the presynaptic neural cell, neurotransmitter is released. An impulse travels along a synapse that connects the two neurons. The transmitter binds to the receptors on the postsynaptic neural cell, which triggers the firing of that neuron.

They are vital for the communication between nerve cells. They also help coordinate activity between different parts of the brain.

Statistics

  • A 2012 paper published in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences reported that people blink about 15 to 20 times each minute, meaning, if you do the math, you spend about 10% of the time that you're awake blinking. (romper.com)
  • In fact, nearly 24% of U.S. women are affected with one or more pelvic floor disorders, according to research funded by the National Institutes of Health. (romper.com)
  • You spend about 10% of your time awake blinking (romper.com)
  • "It is estimated that 75% of people have at least mild gum disease, with the most common symptoms being bleeding when brushing, bad breath, and dark and swollen gums," Dr. Ron Baise, a London-based dentist, tells Romper. (romper.com)
  • It might not sound like something that's truly plausible — and it is quite rare — but according to a 2015 study published in the Asian Cardiovascular & Thoracic Annals, it's possible to hurt yourself and even break a rib just by sneezing. (romper.com)
