Did you know that the White House houses a secret tunnel? The tunnel was built as a way of transporting water away from the White House in the 18th Century. It was eventually adopted by President Jefferson into the water closets. It was a large, plastered chamber with a gravel and sand covered bed for flushing. James Hoban, a British man, designed an elevation showing the tunnel's interior in 1801. The interior featured plastered walls, arched ceilings, and a sandfloor.
Presidents have occupied the rooms
Two secret rooms are located in the White House. The Solarium and the Game Room are both located on the upper floors of the residence. The Solarium served as a place for bridge parties and kindergarten parties to Mamie Eisenhower, Caroline Kennedy, and later became a study for the Clintons. It is also where Richard Nixon announced his resignation, and Nancy Reagan learnt of her husband’s shooting death. The rooms have been occupied from George Washington through Barack Obama.
Recordings of conversations held in the White House
There is no doubt that the Secret Service has recorded some conversations in the White House. In the 1970s, tape recorders were installed in the White House. Charles W. Colson (ex-White House aide) and Dean recorded conversations in their offices and on phones.
Oval Office location
The Oval Office in the White House is the heart of presidential activity. It is home to the President. This room hosts the President, his staff, dignitaries and other dignitaries. While the office isn't directly connected to any other White House buildings, it is part and parcel of the West Wing. This is where the president meets with foreign leaders, communicates with senior staff and conducts official business.

Underground bunker
After President Obama was briefly confined to a secret underground bunker in the White House, several news outlets reported that the President and his family had a second place to retreat if they were attacked by terrorists. There are many escape tunnels and underground bunkers at the White House.
FAQ
Is there a Hollywood blacklist.
There is a Hollywood blacklist.
However, the list isn’t public. We don't know the names. Here's why this matters.
The reason for the secrecy is that the blacklisted actors and directors wouldn't be able to find jobs. So they'd go out of business, which means that the studios would lose money. They would also cut back on their spending on movies. The blacklisted filmmakers would have fewer chances. Which would lead them to go bankrupt.
This could mean more victims.
A contract may be required to agree to not speak against employers if someone attempts to make an Oscar winning movie. This applies to any producer or director who wishes to be nominated.
It's no surprise that directors are often forced to take out scenes in their films by producers. Directors might threaten to leave projects that don't reflect their vision.
This is why there is a Hollywood blacklist. If you are negative about your employer, you'll most likely go unemployed. It's not good for anyone.
Many people have been wrongly accused. It's been a struggle to get their names cleared.
This kind of thing must stop before it can happen again. It is essential that everyone has the freedom to express their opinions.
Also, we must take down the Hollywood blacklist.
What is the most mysterious area on earth?
Antarctica is the most mysterious continent on Earth.
What is it that makes this place so interesting? Because it is unlike anything else on Earth.
It is remote and difficult to reach. However, there's more to this location than meets the eye.
You'll also find the strangest species of wildlife in this natural wonder.
Let's look at how this extraordinary destination became so mysterious.
Antarctica: The South Pole
No one knows exactly why Antarctica was named Antarctica. Others believe it means "land with ice". Others believe it derives from Greek mythology.
Antarktis, the Greek name for the island on which Zeus' twin brothers were conceived, was used in ancient Greece. One of the twins was said to have been born in winter. The term antarctic is derived from this.
Others believe that it is the Greek word anti, which means against, and tropos, which refers to turning. This would be land turned away form the sun.
Whatever the reason, Antarctica has always held a special fascination for people.
It is the continent with the lowest, windiest and highest temperatures. Because it is so cold, there aren't any trees, plants or animals.
This frozen wasteland is still alive.
It houses approximately 90% of all Earth's living organisms. You can find approximately half the world's species of animal and plant plants here.
What is it that makes Antarctica so unique? Here, water freezes in ice rather that vaporizing into the atmosphere.
This causes large ice masses to rise above the ground.
These floating glaciers make up 80%. They're getting bigger every year.
Since 1960, the Antarctic ice sheets has grown 60ft.
If the melting goes on, the sea level may rise by as much as 200 feet. It could result in massive flooding all over the world.
However, not all scientists believe this to be bad news. Global warming may be beneficial for some scientists. They claim that the melting of ice sheets could accelerate as temperatures rise. This would lead to flooding that removes tons of toxic chemicals and soil from our bodies.
However, others caution that this theory sounds a lot like a plot in a science fiction movie.
What is your most secretive community?
You might be surprised at the answer. It might even make you uncomfortable because it challenges our perception of reality and how we live. But there is a reason that this place exists. It isn't what you would expect.
It was known as the City of God to the ancient Greeks. According to the Bible, it was called the City of Destruction.
In India, it's called Kashi (Kashmir). In Russia, it's called Novgorod.
However, in America it is called The Town that Disappeared.
A small town in western New York State, with a population of 1,200, vanished without a trace. With the exception of a road marker pointing to its former site, there were no remains: cars, bodies, houses.
This little town disappeared, leaving no clues about where it went or when. Some say the earth swallowed it up. Others believe it was destroyed by a meteorite. Others believe that aliens took it.
The people of this once-thriving community, however, are positive that the town won't disappear forever. They had just moved to a new town.
A website is available to track the disappearance and recovery of Zugspitz, which was lost in the Great Depression.
So, where exactly did this town go? It's in Switzerland.
The border of Austria and Germany is at Zugspitze. The lake Lake Zugspitze is just beyond the mountain's summit.
I have always been fascinated by the fact that so many towns have vanished, but some remain. Why do some disappear while others survive? I decided to investigate.
I wanted more information about the mysterious disappearing of towns. What causes a town to disappear? How does one place go extinct?
There are many theories to explain the phenomenon of disappearing towns. One theory suggests that a community disappears when all of its buildings are removed. Another theory says that the town just moves. The third theory is that the town was never actually there.
There are many theories, but the truth is that thousands of towns around the world have been submerged by the earth. This video examines the past and present status of these areas.
Did you know that there are approximately 1.6 billion metric tons of trash produced every day in the world?
The United Nations states that an average person produces more than 2.5 pounds of waste per day. That's over 25 billion pounds of garbage each year!
Many of this trash ends in landfill dumps, or incinerators. But what happens if those dumpsters are full? Where does all that rubbish go?Well, most of it gets shipped out of the country. It then gets dumped in foreign countries, polluting their ecosystems. However, now we know where all that trash goes. Mike Sexton is his full name. He is the owner of Waste Watchers. His job involves monitoring the movements and routes of trash trucks across North America. He reports back to us about the next steps.
Sexton claims he is very satisfied with his job. CNN spoke with Sexton that they have a lot fun. "We often see large rigs passing through our town and we will follow them. "Sexton began to follow truck drivers around 20 years ago.
He stated that he fell in love with the product.
His favorite story involved a driver who pulled off at an abandoned gas station near Los Angeles. Sexton remembered, "The man was looking for somewhere to put the load." "He drove down the road and saw this building. So he pulled over and went inside. "There were two large roll-off containers full of stuff. The guy took everything out and started filling up the truck again. "Then he took out everything and began to fill up the truck. There were a bunch of old tires, rags, furniture, mattresses, boxes, bottles, cans, and whatever else. "It was just an absolute mess. It had been cleaned up before he arrived. There wasn't any trash anywhere."
Why did this happen? It is because the location used to belong to a recycling centre. People who found out about this facility would drive to it to recycle their trash. "They'd bring their household items and take them to this building," Sexton explained. And after they finished, they would leave the empty containers behind.
It can happen hundreds of thousands of times per week. It can happen hundreds of time per week. Eventually, the truck is so full of junk it stops running. The owner eventually abandons the vehicle.
However, trash is not the only problem on our planet.
Many of these tiny plastic pieces end up in landfills and incinerators. Some end up in rivers and oceans, while others end up in fish's stomachs.
Experts warn that if there is no change, the world could soon be facing a food shortage. Experts warn, "If you keep going like you're going," we could soon face a global food shortage. But most people don't seem to be worried, even though scientists are unanimous in warning us that the world is heading towards disaster.
