The man got everything out of the truck and began filling it up again. "The man looked around the area and decided to unload all of it. There were a bunch of old tires, rags, furniture, mattresses, boxes, bottles, cans, and whatever else. "It was a complete mess. But it had been cleaned before he arrived. There wasn't any trash anywhere."
Why did this happen? This particular spot used to be a recycling center. People would drive there to recycle their trash. "They'd bring their household items and take them to this building," Sexton explained.And after they finished, they would leave the empty containers behind.
Now, because of the way the law works, once a container reaches its destination, it cannot be opened.So no matter how often someone takes something out of it, the thing will never be emptied.Every time the truck comes by, it has to start over again. This can happen hundreds of times a week.Eventually, the truck becomes so overloaded with junk that it stops running. And eventually, the owner decides to abandon the vehicle.
Trash is not the only problem our planet faces.
