FAQ

Did you know that there are approximately 1.6 billion metric tons of trash produced every day in the world?

According to the United Nations the average person creates more than 2.5 lbs of waste daily. That adds up over 25 billion kilos of garbage every year.

Most of this rubbish ends up in landfills or incinerators. But, what happens when those dumpsters fill up? Where does all that rubbish go?Well, most of it gets shipped out of the country. The rest is dumped abroad, where it pollutes other ecosystems. Now, we know the exact location of all this garbage. Mike Sexton is his full name. He runs a company called Waste Watchers. He spends his days watching the movements of trucks transporting trash across North America. Then he reports back to us about what happens next.

Sexton stated that he finds the job very satisfying. "We've got a lot of fun," he told CNN. "We see these big trucks coming through town, so we'll keep following them. "Sexton started following truck drivers nearly 20 years ago.

"It's all I felt," he stated.

His favorite story involved a driver who pulled off at an abandoned gas station near Los Angeles. Sexton said that the man was searching for a place to store his stuff. "He drove down the road and saw this building. He stopped and pulled up, then he went inside. "There were two enormous roll-off containers filled with stuff. The man took all the stuff out and filled up his truck with more. He then looked around and decided to load everything. There were tires, rags. furniture, mattresses. boxes, bottles, cans. "It was just total chaos. But it had been cleared out before he arrived. There was no trash."

What is the explanation? It is because the location used to belong to a recycling centre. People who found out about this facility would drive to it to recycle their trash. Sexton explained that people would bring home their household items, and then take them to the building. After they were done, they would dispose of the empty containers.

This can happen hundreds of times a week. It could happen hundreds of thousands of times a week. The truck eventually stops running because it has become so jammed with junk. The truck eventually stops running and the owner decides that it is time to get rid of the vehicle.

However, trash is not the only problem on our planet.

Plastic pieces make up most of these particles. Others end up in rivers, oceans or the stomachss of fish.

Experts warn that the world may soon face a shortage of food if we don't make any changes. One expert said, "If we keep going as we are going, we're never going to make it," but most people don’t seem concerned.

How does the brain regulate the functions of the body?

The brain sends messages to other organs and muscles to ensure they work together. Everything that happens within your body is controlled by the brain. It tells both your stomach and lungs what to do; it also controls your legs and arms.

Your brain consists of billions of nerve cells connected in groups called neurons. Action potentials, which are electrical signals sent by neurons to each other via axons, allow them to communicate with one another. Each neuron has a cell membrane surrounding its nucleus. Channels within the membrane allow ions such potassium and sodium to enter and leave the cells. The neuron is lit by an electric charge created by the movement of ions.

Neurotransmitters, which are chemicals that release neurotransmitters when a neuron fires up, can be found in the space between the neurons and the next one. Neurotransmitters bind with receptors on the second nerve cell, opening ion channel channels to allow ions in and out. In turn, the second neuron also fires.

Neurotransmitter releases occur when a presynaptic neurons receives an input from another neuron. The impulse travels along the synapse connecting the two neurons. The transmitter binds directly to the receptors in the postsynaptic nervous neuron, and triggers the firing.

For communication within the nervous systems, neurotransmitters are essential. They also help coordinate activity between different parts of the brain.

Is there a more mysterious place than the Earth itself?

Antarctica is one of the most mysterious places on Earth.

What is it that makes this place so interesting? Because it is unlike any other spot on Earth.

It is remote, isolated, and extremely difficult to visit. It is not what you see.

You will also find some of the oddest wildlife species in this natural wonder.

Let's look at how this extraordinary destination became so mysterious.

Antarctica: The South Pole

Antarctica's name is a mystery. Some say it means "land on ice." Others believe it comes from Greek mythology.

Antarktis in ancient Greece was the name given the island where Zeus' twin brother brothers were born. According to some legends, one of these twins was born in winter. Therefore, the name antarctic.

Others believe the name was derived from the Greek words tropos, which means turn, and anti, meaning against. This would be land turned away form the sun.

Whatever the reason Antarctica has held a special fascination for people, it is undeniable.

It is the driest, windiest of all continents. It is too cold to support trees, plants, and animals.

Yet, life is abundant in this frozen wilderness.

Here are about 90% of all the living creatures on Earth. You can find approximately half the world's species of animal and plant plants here.

What is the secret to Antarctica's unique environment? Here, water freezes into ice instead of evaporating into the air.

This causes large ice masses to rise above the ground.

These floating glaciers make up 80%. They continue to grow in size each year.

So far, the Antarctic ice sheet has grown 60 feet since 1960.

The sea level could rise to 200 feet if the melting continues. That could cause massive flooding around the globe.

Not everyone believes this is bad news. Some scientists suggest that global warming could actually be good for us. They say that as temperatures rise, the ice sheets might melt faster, causing floods that flush out tons of toxic chemicals from our soil and bodies.

Others warn that this theory sounds like something out of a science-fiction movie.

How To

Hollywood scandals that stunned the entire world

It's shocking to see someone make a name for themselves. But, it's equally shocking to watch them fall from the graces.

It's fascinating to see how industries react to their mistakes. Many celebrities have used alcohol and drugs in excess. Some even died young because of it.

But, the worst part? When those stars openly discuss their issues and are ignored by everyone. We were there last week.

Heath Ledger died after a long, successful career. He died after succumbing to prescription drugs.

His family and friends were unable to accept his death, and the media was quick to criticize him.

Heath was once regarded as one of the best actors today. Two Academy Awards nominations were given to Heath for his role in Brokeback Mountain.

Heath, in addition to acting, also wrote and directed films such as A Knight's Tale (Monster's Ball) and Iron Man (3).

Hollywood loved Heath, however he soon grew too big for his good looks. He became addicted to drugs and drank heavily. He was eventually able to get clean and went to rehab.

He was now sober and wanted to make amends. He made a documentary called "Room 237," that chronicled the making and release of The Shining. It was supposed to be released this year, but now it won't hit theaters until next year.

Heath tried many times to get back into Hollywood. Nothing worked. In fact, Heath was twice arrested on drug charges.

We're not saying Heath should have been allowed back into show business. But it would have been nice to get some help before things spiralled out of control.

We hope Heath’s story can be an example to other people who believe they can still have it all.
