"He drove down the street and saw this building. He backed up and entered the building. "There were 2 large containers that had been rolled off, and they were full of stuff. The man got everything out of the truck and began filling it up again. "Then, he took everything out and started filling up the truck again. There were lots of old tires, rags furniture, mattresses, mattresses, cans, cans, and other items. "It was a complete mess. But it had been cleaned before he arrived. There was no trash."

How does the brain regulate the functions of the body?
The brain relays messages to other parts of the body to ensure their functionality. Everything that happens within your body is controlled by the brain. It tells both your stomach and lungs what to do; it also controls your legs and arms.

Action potentials, which are electrical signals sent by neurons to each other via axons, allow them to communicate with one another. Each neuron has a cell membrane surrounding its nucleus. Inside the membrane are channels that allow ions such as sodium and potassium to enter and leave the cell. Ion movement creates the electric charge that causes the neuron to fire.
Neurotransmitters are chemicals released when a neuron fires. Neurotransmitters bind with receptors on the second nerve cell, opening ion channel channels to allow ions in and out. In turn, the second neuron also fires.
When another neuron sends an impulse to the presynaptic neural cell, neurotransmitter is released. The impulse travels along the synapse connecting the two neurons. The transmitter binds to the receptors on the postsynaptic neural cell, which triggers the firing of that neuron.
The nervous system relies on neurotransmitters for communication. They coordinate brain activity among different parts.
