FAQ
What is your most secretive community?
You might be surprised at the answer. This may make you feel uncomfortable as it challenges your perception of reality and the way we live. But there is an explanation for why this place exists, and it's not what you would expect.
The ancient Greeks called it the City of God. It was also called the City of Destruction in the Bible.
It's also known as Kashi (Kashmir) in India. It is called Novgorod (Russia).
It's called The Town That Has Disappeared here in America.
One small New York State town with just 1,200 people vanished. No bodies, cars, houses, nothing was left behind except a road sign pointing to its former location.
This tiny community disappeared without leaving any clues as to where it went or when. Some believe it was swallowed by the earth. Others believe it was destroyed by a meteorite. Others claim it was taken away by aliens.
Regardless of what happened, residents of this once-thriving town are certain that their town won't be forgotten forever. They had just moved from one town to the other.
There's even a website that tracks the disappearances and recoveries of Zugspitz.
So where is this town? Well, it's in Switzerland!
Zugspitze lies on the border between Austria and Germany. Lake Zugspitze lies just above the summit of the mountain.
It has always fascinated and astonished me to see how many towns have vanished but still exist. What is the difference between some towns that disappear and others that survive? I decided to investigate.
I wanted more information about the mysterious disappearing of towns. Is it possible for a place to vanish? How can one place vanish from existence?
There are many theories regarding the phenomenon of towns disappearing. One theory suggests that a community disappears when all of its buildings are removed. Another theory suggests that the town simply moves somewhere else. A third theory states that the town didn't exist at all.
No matter what theories you may have, there is no doubt that many towns across the globe were swallowed by the ground. This video looks into the history of those places and investigates their current status.
What is one of the most amazing facts about the human body
Two eyes, two ears and two nostrils are part of our bodies. We also have four limbs: a mouth, nose, penis, and four limbs. We have over 50 parts of our bodies. However, one thing is missing. The heart.
The heart is a pump that circulates blood throughout your body. The blood travels through the veins and arteries, transporting oxygen and nutrients to cells. It also removes carbon dioxide.
Each minute, the heart pumps 5 liters of blood. This is equivalent to an adult consuming 2-3 cups of coffee per day.
The blood flows throughout the heart 24/7, 365 days a calendar. While sleeping, your heart beats close to 100 times per minute.
The color of someone's skin can tell if they are healthy or not. Looking closely at the skin's surface, you can see tiny blood vessels called capillaries. These small vessels carry blood away from the large blood vessels in the skin back to the heart. If blood flow is blocked, skin can turn blue or purple.
People with sickle cells lack red blood cell. Their blood becomes extremely sticky and hardened, which can lead to very serious illnesses.
Bandages are used to stop bleeding after you have cut yourself. The wound must remain open for blood to flow properly. To do this, doctors insert a needle through the skin into the vein next to the injury. This allows the blood to drain from the injured area.
A doctor can also insert tubes (catheters), into an artery in the vicinity of where blood clots form. This keeps the patient alive till the blood clot dissolves naturally.
Is there any Hollywood blacklist for actors?
There is an Hollywood blacklist.
But the list isn't made public. The names are not known to us. This is why it matters.
The reason for the secrecy is that the blacklisted actors and directors wouldn't be able to find jobs. The studios would be out of business as they lose money. Which means they'd cut back on spending money on movies. That would reduce the opportunities for blacklisted filmmakers. This would make them bankrupt.
This could mean more victims.
In other words, if someone is trying to make an Oscar winning movie, they might have to sign a contract that says they won't speak openly against their employers. Any director or producer who would like to be nominated for an award is subject to the same rules.
That's why you hear stories about how producers pressure directors to remove scenes from their films. Or directors threaten to walk out of projects that don’t match their vision.
This is why Hollywood has created a blacklist. Negative comments about your employer will most likely lead to you being unemployed. This is not good news for anyone.
Problem is, many people have been falsely charged. They have had to fight for their freedom.
We need to stop this kind of thing before it starts happening again. We must ensure that everyone has the right to express themselves freely.
So we need to take down the Hollywood blacklist.
Do you wonder how much trash is produced each day across the globe?
According to the United Nations the average person creates more than 2.5 lbs of waste daily. That adds up over 25 billion kilos of garbage every year.
The majority of this garbage ends up in incinerators or landfills. But what happens when the dumpsters become full? Where does all that rubbish go?Well, most of it gets shipped out of the country. It then gets dumped in foreign countries, polluting their ecosystems. However, now we know where all that trash goes. His name is Mike Sexton. He runs Waste Watchers, a company that monitors the movements of trucks carrying trash all across North America. He then reports back about what happens next.
Sexton said he enjoys his job. CNN spoke with Sexton that they have a lot fun. "We'll be following these big rigs through town. "Sexton started following truck driver almost 20 years back.
"It's all I felt," he stated.
He loved the story of the driver who pulled into an abandoned gas station near Los Angeles. "The guy was looking for someplace to put his load," Sexton recalled. "He drove down the road to see this building. He backed up and entered the building. "There was a pair of large, full-sized roll-off boxes. He took out everything and began to fill up the truck. "The man looked around the area and decided to unload all of it. There were tires, rags. furniture, mattresses. boxes, bottles, cans. "It was just an absolute mess. But it was cleaned out before he came. There wasn’t trash everywhere."
What is the explanation? Well, the answer is that this particular location used to be part of a recycling center.People who learned about this facility would drive here to recycle their trash. "They'd bring their household items and take them to this building," Sexton explained. And after they finished, they would leave the empty containers behind.
This could happen hundreds of time per week. It could happen hundreds of thousands of times a week. The truck eventually stops running because it has become so jammed with junk. The truck eventually stops running and the owner decides that it is time to get rid of the vehicle.
However, trash is not the only problem on our planet.
Most of these particles are made up of tiny pieces of plastic. Some of these plastics end up in landfills or incinerators. Some of these plastics end up in rivers or oceans.
Experts warn of a possible global food crisis if nothing is done. "If we keep going like we're going, we're not going to make it," one expert warned. But even though scientists agree that the world is headed toward disaster, most people don't seem worried.
