The most important secrets about the government aren't those you've never heard of, but those you've been told about. The Pentagon Papers are the most famous. They are embarrassing for the government. Even the United States solicitor General admitted it in an opinion in The Washington Post. The true secrets are binary chemical warfareheads and deliverable tactical nukes.
Secret satellite program by the CIA
The CIA's secret satellite program is still a top-secret project, but there is an opportunity to see these programs up close. Yesterday, the Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum hosted a one day exhibition of vintage National Reconnaissance Office (NRO) satellites. The exhibit was part 50th anniversary celebrations of the organisation.
FAQ
What is the most secretive town in the world?
This question might surprise you. It could even make you uncomfortable, because it challenges how reality is perceived and lived. However, there's a reason for this place to exist. It's not what we would expect.
The City of God was its name by the ancient Greeks. In the Bible, it was known as the City of Destruction.
In India, it's called Kashi (Kashmir). In Russia, it's called Novgorod.
But here in America, it goes by another name - The Town That Disappeared.
A small community of 1200 people in western New York State vanished. A road sign pointing to the former location of the town was all that was left, except for a few bodies and cars.
The little village vanished, with no trace of its existence. Some claim the earth swallowed it. Some claim it was destroyed by a meteorite impact. Others claim it was taken away by aliens.
The people of this once-thriving community, however, are positive that the town won't disappear forever. They had just moved from one town to the other.
There is even a website dedicated to tracking the disappearance of the lost city of Zugspitz.
So where is this town? It's in Switzerland.
Zugspitze is located on the border between Germany and Austria. The lake Lake Zugspitze is just beyond the mountain's summit.
It has always fascinated my that so many towns have disappeared but others still exist. Why do some disappear while others survive? I set out to find out.
I wanted more information about the mysterious disappearing of towns. What causes a community to disappear? How can a town disappear from existence?
There are many theories to explain the phenomenon of disappearing towns. One theory holds that a town disappears if all its buildings are demolished. Another theory says that the town just moves. Another theory suggests that the town has never existed.
No matter what theories you may have, there is no doubt that many towns across the globe were swallowed by the ground. This video explores the history of these towns and examines their current state.
Have you ever wondered what amount of trash is generated each day worldwide?
The United Nations states that an average person produces more than 2.5 pounds of waste per day. That's over 25 billion pounds of garbage each year!
Most of this trash ends up in landfill dumps or incinerators. But what happens when those dumpsters get full? The majority of this rubbish is sent out of the country. The trash is then sent out of the country and dumped in countries where it pollutes ecosystems. But, one man has now discovered exactly where this rubbish goes. Mike Sexton is his name. He is the owner of Waste Watchers. His job involves monitoring the movements and routes of trash trucks across North America. Then he reports back to us about what happens next.
Sexton said he enjoys his job. CNN spoke with Sexton that they have a lot fun. "You know, we see these big rigs come through town, and we'll follow them. "Sexton began following truckers almost 20 year ago.
"I just fell in love with it," he said.
He loved the story of the driver who pulled into an abandoned gas station near Los Angeles. "The guy was looking for someplace to put his load," Sexton recalled. "He drove down the road to see this building. So he backed up and went inside. "There were two enormous roll-off containers filled with stuff. The guy took everything out and started filling up the truck again. He then looked around and decided to load everything. There were a bunch of old tires, rags, furniture, mattresses, boxes, bottles, cans, and whatever else. "It was just total chaos. It had been cleaned up before he arrived. There was not a single piece of trash.
So why did this happen? This particular spot used to be a recycling center. People would drive there to recycle their trash. "They'd bring their household items and take them to this building," Sexton explained. And after they finished, they would leave the empty containers behind.
This can happen hundreds of times a week. The truck can be stopped running if it is so full of junk that it has to come back hundreds of times per week. The owner eventually decides to dump the truck.
Trash isn’t the only problem we face on the planet.
These tiny plastic particles make up the majority of the particles. Some end up in incinerators or landfills. Some are washed into rivers and oceans. Others end up with fish in their stomachs.
Experts warn us that we may soon face an international food shortage if things don't change. One expert said, "If we keep going as we are going, we're never going to make it," but most people don’t seem concerned.
What dark secrets can Hollywood keep from you?
Hollywood is full secret societies. There are many secret societies in Hollywood. Some are cult-like, where members adhere to strict rules and rituals. Others are clubs for people who share similar interests.
Some of the most powerful organizations in the industry are even more dangerous. There are companies like the MPAA (Motion Picture Association of America), who sets film ratings and the RIAA, which sets music licensing fees.
Many unions and guilds represent actors, directors writers, producers, and others. These large corporations control the majority of major film studios and television networks.
It doesn't matter how secretive a group might seem, someone somewhere knows what they are doing. They shouldn't be fearful, however.
Instead, we should embrace them. Because they give us information that allows us to make better decisions.
They also tell us about the movies that are most likely to succeed and which songs are most popular.
These help us to decide what we'll watch, read, listen, and buy.
We can trust their advice and we can ignore it if it contradicts our values.
They are more powerful than ever because we chose to ignore them. They become the ultimate arbiters for taste.
And if you don't like what they say, you're free to ignore them.
So now let's look at some of the lesser-known but still very real Hollywood secret societies.
And see why they're so important.
What is the most intriguing fact about the human anatomy?
We have two eyes, two ears, two nostrils, four limbs, a mouth, a nose, and a penis. Yes, more than 50 parts to our bodies. But one thing is missing. The heart.
The heart is a pump which circulates blood throughout the body. The blood moves through the veins. It transports oxygen and nutrients to your cells. It also removes carbon dioxide.
Each minute, the heart pumps approximately 5 liters. This is equivalent to an adult consuming 2-3 cups of coffee per day.
The heart is constantly pumping blood, 24 hours a week, 365 day a year. While you are sleeping, your heart beats about 100 times per second.
Because of the color and texture of their skin, you can tell if someone is healthy or sick. Capillaries are tiny blood vessels visible on the skin's surface. These small vessels carry blood from the large blood vessel in the skin back towards the heart. When blood flow is blocked, the skin turns blue or purple.
People with sickle cells lack red blood cell. They become very sick when their blood becomes hardened and sticky.
A bandage can be used to stop bleeding if you have cut your own skin. For wounds to heal properly, blood must flow. Doctors place a needle in the wound and insert it through the skin. This allows blood flow to the area that has been injured.
Doctors may also insert catheters (catheters), in an artery to treat a blood clot. This keeps the patient alive until the clot breaks up naturally.

How To
Hollywood scandals that shocked the globe
It's shocking to see someone make a name for themselves. It's even more frightening to see them fall from grace.
It's amazing to see how the industry responds to their mistakes. We have all heard of celebrities who overdosed on drugs and alcohol. Some even died young because of it.
It's worse when stars make public their problems, and then are ignored by everyone. We were there last week.
Heath Ledger, after a long and successful professional career, finally gave in to his demons. He overdosed on prescription pills, and after a brief battle with death, he passed away.
His family and his friends struggled with the news and the media went after him.
Heath was once one of the most gifted actors currently working. He was nominated for two Academy Awards for his performance in Brokeback Mountain.
In addition to acting, Heath also wrote and directed films, including A Knight's Tale, Monster's Ball, and Iron Man 3.
Hollywood loved Heath, but he became too big for his britches. He began to drink heavily and took drugs. He finally went to rehab, and he was clean.
He was now sober and wanted to make amends. He created a documentary called Room 237, which documented the making of The Shining. It was originally scheduled to release this year, but it won’t be available in theaters until next.
Heath attempted to get into Hollywood every time. He was actually arrested twice for drug charges.
We don't believe Heath should have been allowed to go back into the entertainment industry. However, it would have been nice if he could have gotten some help before things spiraled out of control.
We hope Heath's story warns others who might think they can still have it all.
