FAQ

What dark secrets do Hollywood have?

Hollywood is filled secret societies. There are secret societies that are more cult-like than others. They have members who follow specific rules and rituals. While some are clubs for those with similar interests, others are not.

There are also other, more evil organizations that control large parts of the industry. There are companies like the MPAA (Motion Picture Association of America), who sets film ratings and the RIAA, which sets music licensing fees.

Numerous unions/guilds also represent actors and directors as well as writers, producers, and so forth. Many of the major TV networks and movie studios are owned or controlled by large corporations.

The point is that no matter how secretive any group may seem, someone somewhere knows exactly what they do. However, we shouldn't fear them.

Instead, embrace them. Because they can help us make better decisions.

They can tell us which movies and songs are likely to be successful, as well as what books and novels will be most popular.

In short, they help us decide what we'll buy, watch, read, and listen to.

We can trust our advisors and ignore advice that isn't in accord with our tastes.

And because we've chosen to ignore them, they become even more powerful. They are the ultimate arbiters and judges of taste.

And if you don't like what they say, you're free to ignore them.

Let's take a closer look at some of the less-known, yet still very real Hollywood secret clubs.

You can see why they are so vital.

Ever wonder how much trash gets produced each day around the world?

According to the United Nations the average person creates more than 2.5 lbs of waste daily. That adds up over 25 billion kilos of garbage every year.

Most of this rubbish ends up in landfills or incinerators. But, what happens when those dumpsters fill up? Where does all that rubbish go?Well, most of it gets shipped out of the country. The rest is dumped abroad, where it pollutes other ecosystems. Now, we know the exact location of all this garbage. His name is Mike Sexton. He runs Waste Watchers, a company that monitors the movements of trucks carrying trash all across North America. Then he reports back to us about what happens next.

Sexton claims he is very satisfied with his job. CNN spoke with Sexton that they have a lot fun. "We see big rigs coming through town and we'll follow them. "Sexton began to follow truck drivers around 20 years ago.

He stated, "I just fell in Love with It."

His favorite story involved a driver who pulled off at an abandoned gas station near Los Angeles. Sexton described, "The guy was looking somewhere to put his load." "He drove down the road to see this building. So he pulled over and went inside. "There was a pair of large, full-sized roll-off boxes. The man took all the stuff out and filled up his truck with more. "The man looked around the area and decided to unload all of it. There were tires, rags. furniture, mattresses. boxes, bottles, cans. It was a complete mess. But it had been cleaned before he arrived. There was no trash."

So why did this happen? It's because this area used to be a recycle center. People would drive from all over the country to recycle their trash. Sexton explained that people would bring home their household items, and then take them to the building. After they were done, they would dispose of the empty containers.

Now, because of the way the law works, once a container reaches its destination, it cannot be opened. So no matter how often someone takes something out of it, the thing will never be emptied.Every time the truck comes by, it has to start over again. The truck can be stopped running if it is so full of junk that it has to come back hundreds of times per week. The owner eventually decides to dump the truck.

However, trash is not the only problem on our planet.

These tiny plastic particles make up the majority of the particles. Some end up in incinerators or landfills. Some of these plastics end up in rivers or oceans.

Experts warn of a possible global food crisis if nothing is done. One expert said, "If we keep going as we are going, we're never going to make it," but most people don’t seem concerned.

Is there a more mysterious place than the Earth itself?

Antarctica is considered the most mysterious area on Earth.

We find this place so fascinating. Because it is unlike any place on Earth.

It is remote, isolated, and extremely difficult to visit. It is not what you see.

These wild animals are also found in this natural wonder.

Let's find out how this mysterious destination became so famous.

Antarctica: The South Pole

Antarctica is named for no one. Some believe it is "land of the ice". Others believe it comes out of Greek mythology.

Antarktis, the Greek name for the island on which Zeus' twin brothers were conceived, was used in ancient Greece. According to legend, one of the twins was born in winter. This is why the word "antarctic" was chosen.

Others think the name came from the Greek words anti, meaning against, and tropos meaning turn. This would translate to land that is turned away from the sun.

Whatever the reason Antarctica has always been a fascination for people.

It is also the lowest, windiest continent, driest, and highest. It is too cold for trees, plants and animals.

And yet, this frozen wasteland is teeming with life.

Here, 90 percent live of all species of living things. It is home to approximately half of all world's animal and plant species.

What is Antarctica? Here, water freezes into ice instead of evaporating into the air.

This creates large masses of ice that float above the ground.

These floating glaciers cover over 80%. They continue to grow in size each year.

So far, the Antarctic ice sheet has grown 60 feet since 1960.

The sea level could rise to 200 feet if the melting continues. This could lead worldwide flooding.

This is not necessarily bad news. Some scientists think global warming might be beneficial. They claim that the melting of ice sheets could accelerate as temperatures rise. This would lead to flooding that removes tons of toxic chemicals and soil from our bodies.

Others warn that this theory sounds like something out of a science-fiction movie.

Is there a Hollywood blacklist of actors?

There is a Hollywood blacklist.

The list isn’t available for public viewing. According to our knowledge, the names of these people aren't known. But here's why it matters.

The reason for the secrecy is that the blacklisted actors and directors wouldn't be able to find jobs. Thus, they would leave the industry and studios will lose money. Which means they'd cut back on spending money on movies. This would result in fewer opportunities available for blacklisted filmmakers. They would then go bankrupt.

This could result in even more victims.

A contract may be required to agree to not speak against employers if someone attempts to make an Oscar winning movie. Producers and directors who want to be nominated are subject to the same restrictions.

This is why you'll hear about directors being pressured by producers to take scenes out of their films. Or how directors threaten to walk away from projects that don't fit their vision.

This is the reason there is a Hollywood blacklist. If you are negative about your employer, you'll most likely go unemployed. It's not good for anyone.

The problem is that many people have been falsely accused. These people have had to fight to clear their names.

This is unacceptable behavior and must be stopped. We must ensure that everyone has the right to express themselves freely.

We must get rid of the Hollywood blacklist.
